Our Principal
Robert Sanders founded Sanders Development Group (SDG) in 2019 with a simple but powerful belief: stronger foundations lead to stronger communities. With a background in both commercial development and financial services, Robert saw how these two worlds could come together to unlock real economic opportunity—and wanted to be part of that change.
Over the years, Robert has built his experience through roles at Corporex Companies, U.S. Bank, and The Port. He’s led construction projects, supported small businesses through lending, and created innovative financing tools to help Cincinnati neighborhoods grow and thrive.
Today, SDG partners with several community development corporations throughout the city—continuing the work of building better places to live, work, and grow.
Born and raised in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, Robert is proud of his roots. He’s a graduate of Taft High School and holds a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
