Project Overview

Cincinnati-based Sanders Development Group has been selected as the developer for the Covington Central Riverfront site, located on the former IRS building grounds. This project transforms approximately 0.39 acres of block D into a vibrant mixed-use community featuring six attached townhomes, a four-story apartment building with 15 one-bedroom market-rate units, and roughly 4,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.

The development aligns with the City of Covington’s vision of creating a walkable, human-scaled neighborhood that honors the area’s heritage while providing new housing and retail opportunities. With construction expected to begin in July 2025, the project represents a significant investment of $8.6 million in construction costs alone.
